Registration and login are required to submit items online and to check the status of current submissions.

 

Author Guidelines

  1. Prior to submission, register and login as an author to the system.
  2. Manuscript must be submitted through the system of the journal. Manuscript submissions through email will not be considered.
  3. Each article is the result of field or library research in the fields of English Language Teaching, Linguistics, and Literature.
  4. Use plagiarism prevention tools (plagiarismdetector.net, etc.) before submission and make sure the similarity index of the article is no more than 30%.
  5. The manuscript should contain between 3,000 to 7,000 words (including Abstract and Reference section).
  6. The submitted manuscript is in English with doc., docx., or rtf. formats, single space, 12 font size, Times New Roman, A4 paper with top margin 3.19 cm, bottom 3 cm, left 4 cm, right 3 cm.
  7. No header or footer is required. If needed, the author may use an endnote instead of footnote.
  8. The main headings include ABSTRACT, INTRODUCTION, METHOD, FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION, CONCLUSION, and REFERENCES. Authors are allowed to use subheadings under the main headings. If necessary, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT and APPENDIX may be included.
  9. The title should be no more than 15 words, in sentence case, centered, 12 font size.
  10. The abstract must be between 150-200 words, consisting of the background of the study, the purpose of the paper, research methodology, and main findings/results, and conclusion. Following the abstract, write three to five keywords.
  11. The introduction should consist of the background of the study, literature review, and research objectives. 
  12. Introduction should be presented in the forms of paragraphs with the proportion of 15-25% of the whole article length.
  13. The method section consists of description concerning the research design, research site and participants or documents, data collection, and data analysis with the proportion of 10-15% of the total article length.
  14. The method section can be in a unified form or using subheadings.
  15. The findings and discussion section consist of description of the results of the data analysis to answer the research question(s) and their meanings seen from current theories and references of the area addressed. The proportion of this section is 40-60% of the total article length.
  16. The conclusion section consists of the summary and restatement of the main findings.
  17. Use reference manager (mendeley, zotero, etc.)
  18. Quotation, citations, tables, figures, and references must comply with the APA 7th edition citation style.
  19. Every source cited in the body of the article should appear in the reference, and all sources appearing in the reference should be cited in the body of the article.
  20. The sources cited should at least 80% come from those published in the last 10 years. The sources cited are primary sources in the forms of reputable journal articles (recommended), books, and research reports, including theses and dissertations. Citations from journal should be at least 80% of the total references cited.
  21. Citation is done using bracket (last name and year of publication). When the sources are cited verbatim, page number is included (p. 78 or pp. 78-89).
  22. All forms of communication between the authors and the journal is via [email protected].

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. We require that all co-authors be added to the metadata in the third step of article submission. Otherwise, they will not be included in the article when it is published.

This license is often compared to “copyleft” free and open source software licenses. All new works based on yours will carry the same license, so any derivatives will also allow commercial use. This is the license used by Wikipedia, and is recommended for materials that would benefit from incorporating content from Wikipedia and similarly licensed projects.
